The install standard I hold my crew to

Professional HVAC Installation in Kingfisher and Central Oklahoma

Two installers can put the same Trane in the same house and you get two different systems. One is sized off the old nameplate, brazed without nitrogen and charged by feel. The other is sized to your house, matched on paper and charged by the numbers. Over 47 years in this trade I have torn out plenty of the first kind. Below is exactly what I do on every install, so you can hold me to it, and so you know what to ask anyone else who bids your job.

My 12-point install standard

Every one of these is on every residential job I install, and every one is something you can see or ask for in writing.

  1. 1A Manual J load calculationI measure the house and calculate the heat loss and heat gain room by room. The size comes from your house, not from whatever was there before.
  2. 2A duct check before I quoteI look at the ductwork and test static pressure. A new system on ducts that cannot move the air will never perform the way it is rated, and I tell you that up front.
  3. 3An AHRI-matched systemThe outdoor unit, the coil and the furnace or air handler have to be listed together by AHRI. That listing is what makes the efficiency rating real, and utility rebate paperwork asks for it.
  4. 4A written estimate, same dayEquipment options, what is included and the price, written down. Real numbers, not a range.
  5. 5The permit, where your town requires oneI am licensed, bonded and insured, and I pull and handle the permit and inspection where required.
  6. 6The line set done rightIf the existing copper is the right size and in good shape, I flush it, clean it and reuse it. If it is not, I replace it and tell you why.
  7. 7Nitrogen-purged brazingNitrogen flows through the copper while I braze, so no scale forms inside the lines to plug the metering device later.
  8. 8A deep vacuum before the chargeMoisture and air come out of the system before refrigerant goes in.
  9. 9Electrical brought up to the new unitA new outdoor disconnect and a new furnace receptacle when the job needs them.
  10. 10Startup and commissioning readingsRefrigerant charge, airflow, temperature split, thermostat and safety controls checked with gauges on, and written down. Readings for each system type are below.
  11. 11Cleanup and a walkthroughThe old equipment hauled off, the work area left clean, and I show you the thermostat and the filter before I leave.
  12. 12Warranty registration, in your nameI register the manufacturer warranty and file any utility rebate paperwork, and you get copies.

What I write down at startup

Commissioning is the part a homeowner never sees and the part that decides how the next 15 years go. These are the readings I take before I call a job done.

SystemWhat I check
Air conditioner or heat pumpSuperheat and subcooling against the manufacturer’s chart, line and suction pressures, temperature split across the coil, total external static pressure, amp draw on the compressor and fans
Heat pump, heating modeDefrost operation, reversing valve, auxiliary heat staging and the outdoor thermostat setting
Gas furnaceGas pressure, temperature rise against the nameplate, flue draft and venting, flame safety and limit switches
Every systemThermostat setup, condensate drain and safety switch, filter size and fit, airflow at the registers

Install day

Most residential replacements take 4 to 8 hours, so you are not without heat or air overnight. Geothermal and jobs with new ductwork take longer, and I tell you how long up front.

The warranty behind the install

  • My workmanship: one year, parts and labor, on every system I install, and two years of labor on geothermal and on Trane systems rated 17 SEER and up.
  • Trane: 10 years on parts when registered within 60 days, which I do for you, and 12 years on the compressor for WeatherGuard and variable-speed models. Parts only, not labor. Trane installs in my top tiers also include a year of Full Year 360, my top maintenance plan.
  • Mitsubishi: 12 years on parts and compressor when I register it inside 90 days as a Mitsubishi Diamond Dealer, on a single-family home.

Every warranty by brand, and installed prices for each system type, are on my HVAC system replacement page.

What I install

Master HVAC license, NATE certified, Mitsubishi Diamond Dealer, Trane Comfort Specialist (TCS SELECT) dealer, Amana Brand Advantage dealer, ClimateMaster GeoElite. 15+ years in business in Kingfisher, serving Kingfisher, Canadian, Oklahoma, Garfield, Major, Logan and Blaine counties.

Paying for it

The estimate is free. If you want to spread the cost out, I work with Synchrony (up to 18 months at 0%), Wells Fargo, Wisetack, Klarna and JB Financing, which shops 30+ lenders and works with credit scores as low as 590. Wisetack and JB Financing check offers with a soft credit pull. Details are on my financing page.

For geothermal, there is also my Full Coverage Geothermal Plan: a 10-year residential lease with $0 upfront that covers the system, the loop, the install, maintenance, filters and repairs, subject to the contract’s terms, with an option to buy the system at the end.

Straight answers

How much does a new HVAC system cost in Kingfisher, Oklahoma?

It depends on the size your house needs, the equipment tier and what the ductwork and electrical need. I come out for free, run the load calculation and give you a written price the same day. Installed price ranges by system type are on my replacement page. Call 405-375-4822.

How long does an HVAC installation take?

Most residential replacements take 4 to 8 hours and are done in one day. Geothermal and new ductwork take longer, and I give you the schedule up front.

Do you do a Manual J load calculation?

Yes, on every install. I size the system to your house, not to the nameplate on the old unit.

Can you reuse my existing refrigerant lines?

If they are the right size and in good shape, yes: I flush them, clean them and reuse them. If they are not, I replace them and show you why.

Do I need a permit for a new HVAC system in Oklahoma?

Many towns require one. Where yours does, I pull it and handle the inspection. It is part of the job, not an extra step for you.

What warranty comes with a new system?

My labor warranty on workmanship (2 years on systems rated 16 SEER2 and up, 1 year below 16 SEER2), plus the manufacturer’s parts warranty, which I register in your name: 10 years on Trane parts (12 years on the compressor for WeatherGuard and variable-speed models), and 12 years on Mitsubishi when registered inside 90 days.

What does AHRI-matched mean?

AHRI tests outdoor and indoor equipment as a pair. A matched combination has a certificate with its tested efficiency. If the pieces are not listed together, the rating on the box does not apply to your system. I confirm the match before I quote.
