Why Buy Your New HVAC System From Hartzell’s

Buying a new system is the biggest single purchase most people make for their house that they never actually see. You get a box outside, a box inside, and a number. Everything that decides whether it was a good buy happens during the install, and you are trusting somebody you just met to get it right.

So here is my honest case for why you should let me do it.

You get me, not whoever is next on the board

The franchise outfits send whoever is available. I have been in this trade 47 years and I have run Hartzell’s for 15+ years out of Kingfisher. I look at your system, I size it, and I stand behind it. If something is wrong two years from now, you are calling the same person who sold it to you.

I will tell you not to buy one

A lot of the systems I get called out to look at do not need replacing. They need a repair, or a rebuild, and I will say so. I put the whole decision in writing on my repair or replace page so you can see how I think about it before I ever show up. Replacing a system that had eight good years left in it is not a win for either of us.

Sizing is where installs go wrong

Most of the bad installs I get called out to fix are not bad equipment. They are the right equipment sized wrong, or ducted wrong. An oversized system short cycles, never pulls the humidity out, and wears itself out early. I do the load calculation and I look at your ductwork, because putting a correctly sized system on undersized duct just moves the problem somewhere else.

The estimate is free and there is no pressure on it

New system estimates cost you nothing, and there is no trip charge to come look. You get the number, the options, and what each option actually changes. Take it to somebody else and compare it. I would rather lose a job to a fair comparison than win one because somebody felt rushed.

Cost does not have to stop you

I work with five lenders: Synchrony, with up to 18 months at 0%, Wells Fargo, Wisetack, Klarna, and JB Financing. Should I repair my system or replace it?

How long does an install take?

A straight changeout is usually one day. Add time if the ductwork needs work, if we are relocating equipment, or if it is a geothermal job with a loop. I will tell you which one yours is when I quote it.
