HVAC & Light Plumbing Services in Central Oklahoma

When you replace an HVAC system, water heater, or add geothermal, you often need plumbing work done at the same time — gas line connections, condensate drain routing, shut-off valves, water heater hookups. Most HVAC companies hand that off to a separate plumber, which means scheduling another contractor, waiting for availability, and getting two invoices. Hartzell’s handles both under one roof.

Why This Matters on HVAC Projects

The most common scenario: you’re replacing a furnace and the gas flex connector is corroded or the wrong size for the new unit. Or you’re adding a tankless water heater and need a larger gas line. Or geothermal installation requires water connections that the drilling contractor doesn’t touch.

If your HVAC company can’t handle that work, the project stalls. You’re calling a plumber, waiting for their schedule, and potentially delaying your installation by days. Hartzell’s handles it as part of the same job.

One license, one crew, one invoice. Our Master HVAC license covers gas line work in Oklahoma. We carry the tools and parts to handle most connection and valve work on the same visit as your HVAC service.

What We Don’t Do

We’re not a full-service plumbing company. We don’t do sewer lines, water main replacements, bathroom remodels, or drain cleaning beyond condensate systems. If your project needs a licensed plumber for major work, we’ll tell you upfront and can refer you to someone we trust.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Hartzell’s licensed to do gas line work in Oklahoma?

Yes. Our Master HVAC License (#00115936) covers gas line connections and modifications related to HVAC equipment in Oklahoma. We test all gas work with a manometer before considering the job done.

Can you handle plumbing connections during a geothermal installation?

Yes — this is one of the main reasons geothermal customers hire us. The ground loop connections, desuperheater water lines, and any domestic hot water connections are all handled by our crew. You don’t need a separate plumber for those portions of the job.

My water heater needs replacing — can you handle the full job?

In most cases, yes. We install and connect gas and electric water heaters, including all gas line, water supply, pressure relief, and drain line work. If your situation requires a licensed plumber for portions of the job (major supply line work, etc.), we’ll let you know upfront.

Do you charge separately for plumbing work on an HVAC job?

Standard connection work included in a new installation (gas flex, condensate drain, water heater connections) is included in the installation price. Separate plumbing calls — like a shut-off valve replacement or condensate drain unclog — are quoted separately. You always get upfront pricing before we start.

What areas do you serve for plumbing calls?

Same territory as our HVAC service: Kingfisher County, Garfield County (Enid), Canadian County, Logan County, Blaine County, Major County, and the northwest OKC metro. Call 405-375-4822 to confirm availability in your area.
