- The simple things firstThermostat, filter, breaker and the outdoor disconnect. I do not open the equipment until those are ruled out.
- Electrical under loadCapacitor microfarads, contactor condition and compressor amp draw. If the capacitor failed I check what killed it.
- Refrigerant on gaugesSuperheat and subcooling against the manufacturer’s spec. A leak gets found and repaired under EPA Section 608 rules, not topped off.
- Airflow and coilsStatic pressure, blower speed and amps, and the condition of both coils.

If you smell gas, or a carbon monoxide alarm goes off, leave the house first and call the gas utility or 911 from outside. Then call me. That comes before any troubleshooting I could talk you through.

Loyal was Kiel until the town changed it
German settlers founded this place after the 1889 land run and named it Kiel, after the city they came from. When the first world war arrived and feeling turned against anything German, these families, who had been here for decades, went and changed the name of their own town to Loyal. That story is part of why this is a good place to do business. People here decide what they stand for and then do it.
