How long do boilers last?
Well-maintained boilers typically last 20 to 30 years. Annual service is the single biggest factor in how long one lasts.
My boiler keeps losing pressure. What is wrong?
Usually a leak somewhere: fittings, the expansion tank or the pressure relief valve. It can also come from bleeding radiators without refilling the system properly. I can pinpoint it quickly.
Why is my boiler banging or kettling?
Kettling is usually limescale on the heat exchanger restricting flow and causing localized boiling. A flush or descaling treatment typically resolves it.
Can you service in-floor radiant heat?
Yes. Boiler repairs, pump replacements, zone valve service and system balancing on hydronic radiant floors.
Do you work on gas, propane and electric boilers?
Yes: gas, propane and electric, including cast iron, condensing and combi units, plus the zone valves, circulator pumps and expansion tanks around them.
What does a boiler repair visit cost?
A residential boiler repair visit is my $210 service call: $99 dispatch plus $111 diagnostic, not credited toward the repair. A new boiler estimate is free. Commercial boilers are quoted per building.
