Geothermal Lease and Financing Options Oklahoma

4.8 stars, 300+ Google reviews

Free Saturday and Sunday consultations. I look at the house, size the system and walk you through the numbers, no charge and no obligation. Statewide for geothermal, as availability allows, and if we start now the loop work and the install still fit before Thanksgiving, where the schedule allows.

There are three honest ways my customers pay for geothermal: own it at 0% for up to 18 months through Synchrony, finance it with a lender that works with credit scores from 590, or lease it through the Geothermal Comfort Plan for nothing upfront, about $225 a month on a $25,000 system.

I have put geothermal in for bankers, and I have put it in for young families still rebuilding their credit. The ground under your house does not check your credit score. One of these paths probably fits the way you handle money.

Geothermal Comfort Plan, the $0 upfront path

For qualified homeowners, the Geothermal Comfort Plan, powered by Palmetto on ClimateMaster equipment, is a 10-year residential geothermal lease. Nothing upfront, 120 even monthly payments, and one payment that carries the whole system.

Approved exampleMonthly paymentTermUpfront
$25,000 systemAbout $225 a month120 payments$0
$40,000 systemAbout $332 a month120 payments$0

Those two are approved illustrations, not quotes and not approvals. What your own payment lands at depends on the system size, the loop and what Palmetto approves.

The one payment covers the system, the ground loop, the install, controls and the flow center, maintenance, filters, repairs and service labor. I stay your service provider for the whole ten years, so when something needs attention you call me, not an 800 number.

There is a buyout at the end of the ten years. Zero dollars upfront never means you own the equipment along the way. The buyout is figured the way Palmetto’s calculator figures it, and I will show you that number before you sign anything.

On taxes: Through third-party ownership, Palmetto can monetize available tax credits and apply that value to the customer’s benefit. You do not claim anything on your own return for leased equipment. Utility and electric co-op rebates are separate, and those stay with you as the account holder. I will help you file for one. Tell me your ZIP and your electric utility and I will check what is actually live before anybody quotes an amount.

Disclaimer: Labor, filters, and preventative maintenance are all subject to terms and limitations included in the contract. Inflation-Proof Protection is based on expected inflation costs on services covered under the contract for the ten-year term. Interest Paid is estimated on an annual percentage rate expressed as a yearly percentage and does not imply that the Monthly Payment is exclusive of lease costs related to the geothermal system.

Cash and Traditional Financing

Some customers still choose a cash purchase or traditional financing instead of the lease path. I can compare lease, cash, and financing options after I have looked at the home, the utility, the equipment, the loop field, and the project scope.

Own it and pay no interest

Through Synchrony I can offer up to 18 months at 0%. You own the system from day one and the interest column stays at zero. This is the path for folks who could write the check but would rather keep that money working somewhere else.

Credit took some hits? You still get a real shot

A rough stretch on your credit report should not sentence your family to a dying system, and with the lenders I work with, it usually does not have to.

  • JB Financing routes your application through 30+ lenders instead of one bank saying yes or no. Credit scores as low as 590, about 75% of applications approved, and pre-qualification is a soft credit pull.
  • Wisetack pre-qualifies with a soft credit pull, about 80% approval, and fits smaller tickets.
  • Klarna splits a smaller bill into four interest-free payments over six weeks.
  • Wells Fargo is the fifth lender on my roster. When it is the right fit, I will tell you.

Those five are the only financing partners I work with. If somebody claims to offer “Hartzell’s financing” through anyone else, hang up.

Which path fits you

  • You want to own it and pay zero interest: Synchrony, up to 18 months at 0%.
  • Your credit score starts with a 5 or a 6: JB Financing, 30+ lenders, scores from 590.
  • You just want to split a smaller bill: Klarna or Wisetack.
  • You want to check without hurting your score: Wisetack, JB Financing, and Klarna all use a soft credit pull.
  • You want nothing down and one payment: the lease described above.

The estimate is free, and the numbers come in writing

New-system estimates are free. I look at your house, then show you the purchase price and the payment options side by side, so you compare real numbers instead of guesses. If you already have a geothermal system that needs troubleshooting, that is my geothermal diagnostic, $348 flat, with a written report and quote before I leave. I am IGSHPA accredited, a ClimateMaster GeoElite dealer, and 47 years into this trade.

Every payment path starts with the project total, so check what a geothermal project actually costs in Oklahoma before you compare a lease against cash.

Who gets the tax credits and the rebates

If you lease, you do not claim anything on your own return for the equipment. Through third-party ownership, Palmetto can monetize available tax credits and apply that value to the customer’s benefit.

Utility and electric co-op rebates work differently. Those stay with you as the account holder whether you lease or buy, and I will help you file for one. Amounts and eligibility change by utility and by program date, so I check the live program for your ZIP before anybody puts a number on paper.

No payment example on this site is a guaranteed quote or approval.

Geothermal financing questions

Can I finance a geothermal system in Oklahoma?

Yes. I work with Synchrony, Wells Fargo, Wisetack, Klarna, and JB Financing. Synchrony runs up to 18 months at 0%. Call 405-375-4822, tell me the ticket size, and I will point you at the right one.

Is the Geothermal Comfort Plan a loan?

No. It is a 10-year residential lease through Palmetto. That distinction changes the paperwork and the tax treatment, so I say it plainly instead of calling it financing. There is also a buyout at the end of the term, which a loan would not have.

Can I finance a geothermal repair instead of a whole system?

Yes. Financing covers repairs, maintenance plans, and add-ons, not just new installs. Wisetack is usually the right fit on a smaller ticket.

Can I get geothermal with a 600 credit score in Oklahoma?

Very likely, yes. JB Financing routes your application through 30+ lenders and works with credit scores as low as 590, with about 75% of applications approved. Checking is a soft credit pull, so finding out does not touch your score.

Is there 0% interest for geothermal in Oklahoma?

Yes, through Synchrony, up to 18 months at 0%. You own the system from day one.

How much is geothermal per month in Oklahoma?

On the lease, the approved examples are about $225 a month on a $25,000 system and about $332 a month on a $40,000 system, 120 payments with nothing upfront. On a purchase the monthly depends on the project total, the lender and the term. The free estimate pins down your number in writing either way.

Does checking geothermal financing hurt my credit score?

Wisetack, Klarna, and JB Financing all use a soft credit pull to show you offers, so checking does not move your score.

Do I get a tax credit if I lease the system?

No, and that is by design. Through third-party ownership, Palmetto can monetize available tax credits and apply that value to the customer’s benefit. You claim nothing on your own return for leased equipment. Utility and co-op rebates are separate and stay with you. For anything tax related on your own situation, talk to your tax professional.

Do you do free consultations on the weekend?

Yes. Saturday and Sunday geothermal consultations are free. I look at the house, the yard and what is heating it now, size the system and walk you through the payment, at no charge and with no obligation. For geothermal I travel statewide, as availability allows. Call 405-375-4822 and I will tell you what weekend time is open.

Can I still have geothermal installed before Thanksgiving?

If we start now, the loop work and the install still fit before Thanksgiving, where the schedule allows. Geothermal takes longer than swapping a furnace because the loop goes in first, so the earlier I see the property, the easier it is to hold a date. I will tell you straight what is realistic once I look at the project.
