Do I start from home or from a shop?
From home. I dispatch you directly each morning. The truck is yours for the day and you run your route. No morning shop meeting, no wasted drive time.
How is pay calculated for service techs?
Base pay plus a percentage of the invoice value of work you complete and close. Accountability, workmanship quality, and customer relations all factor into your pay tier. Strong diagnostics and good customer skills earn you more. That’s the whole system.
Do I need to be able to sell replacements?
You need to be able to have an honest conversation with a customer when a system is at end of life. I’ll show you how I approach it. It’s not a sales pitch, it’s just being straight with someone about what they have. If you can do that, you’ll close work.
Is geothermal experience required?
No, but preferred. We do a lot of geothermal in Central Oklahoma and it’s not going away. I’m IGSHPA accredited and I can train the right tech.
