Position Overview

Hartzell’s Heat & Air is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician to provide maintenance, diagnostics, and repair for residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems throughout the Oklahoma City area.

This position requires strong troubleshooting ability, independent diagnostics, and professional customer communication.


Primary Job Function

Provide maintenance and service for residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year HVAC service experience (Required)
  • EPA Certification (Required)
  • HVAC Certification (Preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass drug and background screening
  • Willingness to attend training seminars and service classes
  • Ability to work from ladders, crawl spaces, attics, and roofs
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic knowledge of service tools and testing devices
  • Understanding of electrical and refrigeration principles
  • Basic soldering and brazing skills
  • Strong customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Arrive at job sites as dispatched
  • Travel between job sites during the workday
  • Operate company vehicle
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance using checklist procedures
  • Communicate clearly with customers
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct
  • Complete service documentation accurately
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
