R-22 parts, older units, repeat repairs, the sooner you call, the more options you have. 405-375-4822 or chat with us in the corner for a straight answer.
Refrigerant work requires EPA 608 certification. I handle recharges, leak detection, recovery, and evacuation. With the shift from R-410A to R-32 and R-454B, I am already equipped and trained for the newer systems showing up in Oklahoma homes.
Refrigerant Types I Service
R-410A
Standard refrigerant in most systems installed 2010-2025. Being phased down under AIM Act.
R-32
Lower GWP than R-410A. Used in many new Mitsubishi and Daikin systems. Mildly flammable (A2L).
R-454B (Puron Advance)
Carrier’s replacement for R-410A. A2L class. Lower GWP. Requires compatible equipment.
R-22 (Freon)
Fully phased out, no new production since 2020. Recovery and reclaim only. High cost.
R-404A
Commercial refrigeration. Being phased down. Used in reach-in coolers, freezers.
R-407C
R-22 drop-in substitute used in some older equipment. Still in service.
R-134a
Used in some commercial applications and chillers. Lower pressure than R-410A.
Refrigerant Services
- Refrigerant recharge (add refrigerant to low systems)
- Leak detection, electronic and UV dye methods
- Refrigerant recovery and reclaim (EPA-compliant)

- Low refrigerant diagnosis (not all low-charge calls are leaks)
- R-22 system recovery and transition consultation
- A2L refrigerant handling and safety protocols
A2L Refrigerant Transition
Starting January 1, 2025, new residential HVAC equipment must use low-GWP refrigerants. Most new systems use R-32 or R-454B. Our technicians are trained in A2L handling. If you are replacing an older R-410A system, your new equipment will use one of these newer refrigerants, which requires the right tools and training, which I have.
Frequently Asked Questions
My AC is low on refrigerant, can you just top it off?
I can add refrigerant, but a properly sealed system does not lose refrigerant. If your system is low, there is a leak. I find and repair the leak, then recharge. Just topping off without fixing the leak means you will be low again by next summer.
How much does refrigerant cost?
R-410A pricing has increased significantly due to the AIM Act phase-down. Expect $30 to $80 per pound plus labor. I quote total cost before starting.
My R-22 system needs refrigerant, what are my options?
R-22 is no longer manufactured in the US. Reclaimed R-22 is available but costs $100+ per pound. For most R-22 systems over 15 years old, replacement is more cost-effective than repair and recharge.
Is R-32 or R-454B refrigerant dangerous?
Both are A2L class, mildly flammable under specific conditions, but safe in normal residential operation. Our techs are trained in A2L handling and your equipment has built-in safety features for these refrigerants.

How much does an HVAC refrigerant leak repair cost in Kingfisher Oklahoma?
A small accessible leak repair plus recharge typically runs $400 to $900. Evaporator coil leaks or buried line set leaks run higher because of the labor. My $111 diagnostic credits toward the repair. Call 405-375-4822 for a quote.
