3. Electrical checks, capacitor tested under load, contactor inspected, compressor amp draw measured. If the capacitor failed, I check whether the compressor caused it.
4. Refrigerant check with calibrated gauges, superheat and subcooling measured against manufacturer spec. A refrigerant leak is found and repaired, handled per EPA Section 608 refrigerant rules, I don’t just recharge and leave.
5. Airflow and coil condition, static pressure measured, blower checked, evaporator coil inspected for fouling or ice.
