HVAC Services in Logan County, OK

I’ve been running service calls in Logan County for over 15 years. Guthrie, Crescent, Cashion, Langston. The county is only 30 miles east of my shop in Kingfisher, and the range of homes I work in there is unlike anywhere else I go. Century-old Victorian houses in downtown Guthrie sitting a few miles from new construction. It keeps me on my toes. 4.8 stars from 276 reviews across the region, and Logan County customers are a big part of that.

Logan County: A Place Built in a Single Afternoon

At noon on April 22, 1889, cannons fired and roughly 50,000 people charged into the Unassigned Lands. Within six hours, 10,000 of them had staked claims in what became Guthrie. Within weeks, Guthrie had municipal water, electricity, a streetcar system, and underground structures for horses and carriages. It was Oklahoma’s first territorial capital, not because it was the biggest city, but because it was ready first.

The Oklahoma Constitutional Convention met in Guthrie in 1906. The capital stayed through statehood in 1907. Then on June 11, 1910, Oklahoma City won a statewide vote and the capital was moved south overnight. A newspaper account from that day says the governor’s seal was transported to OKC in the middle of the night. Guthrie never fully recovered economically, and because the money left before anyone could rebuild, the Victorian downtown was never torn down. What you see there today, the Masonic Temple (one of the largest in the world), the Carnegie Library, the Victorian commercial blocks on Division Street, all of it survived because there was no money to replace it. Guthrie is now a National Historic Landmark with one of the largest intact Victorian-era commercial districts in the United States.

Langston, in the eastern part of the county, was founded on April 22, 1890, the one-year anniversary of the Land Run. Edwin P. McCabe promoted it as the center of an all-Black state he envisioned in Oklahoma Territory and recruited thousands of Black families from the South. Langston University was established in 1897 under the name “Oklahoma Colored Agricultural and Normal University.” Its first president, Dr. Inman E. Page, was the son of a freed slave. He opened the doors on September 3, 1898, with 41 students and a $5,000 budget. Today it is Oklahoma’s only HBCU and the westernmost four-year public historically Black university in the United States.

When I’m working in Logan County, I’m moving through 130-plus years of Oklahoma history in a single afternoon. The Victorian-era homes in Guthrie are some of the most technically challenging properties I work in. Those buildings were designed for coal and radiators. Retrofitting forced air into them takes real knowledge of airflow, duct sizing, and the structure itself. If you have an older home in Guthrie and your HVAC has been a problem year after year, call me at 405-375-4822. I’ve seen most of the situations by now.

Cities & Communities We Serve in Logan County

Guthrie — County Seat  |  Guthrie Geothermal Installation

Guthrie is our main Logan County stop — and it keeps us busy. The historic district has Victorian-era homes that need careful attention: older duct layouts, non-standard equipment footprints, and sometimes no attic access. We also see a surge of new construction calls as Guthrie grows rapidly with OKC sprawl moving north. Both ends of the spectrum, same high standard of work.

Crescent

A quiet farming community in the western part of Logan County. Crescent is close to the Kingfisher County line, which means we’re often the nearest qualified tech. We service all major brands here and stock parts for the most common equipment failures.

Cashion

Cashion straddles the Logan/Kingfisher county line and is one of the fastest-growing communities in the area. Lots of new subdivisions going in — we install Trane and RunTru systems in new construction here regularly. If you’re building or buying in Cashion, give us a call before the drywall goes up.

Coyle, Langston & Marshall

We cover eastern and central Logan County too — including Coyle, Langston, and Marshall. These are smaller rural communities where we often find equipment that hasn’t been serviced in years. A lot of deferred maintenance turns into an avoidable replacement. Regular tune-ups go a long way out here.

Mulhall & Luther

Mulhall and Luther are small towns in the heart of Logan County. Mini-splits are popular here for outbuildings and room additions where adding ductwork isn’t practical. We’re a Mitsubishi Diamond Dealer — factory-trained on the equipment we install.

Water Heater Maintenance in Logan County

We now offer annual water heater inspection and service throughout Logan County. Oklahoma’s hard water — 15–25 grains per gallon — causes sediment buildup that reduces efficiency and shortens your water heater’s life. Logan County HVAC Notes

Logan County has become one of our most active service areas — and it’s changing fast. Here’s what I see on the ground.

🏗️ New Construction Boom

Guthrie and the Cashion corridor are growing at a pace I haven’t seen in this area before. New subdivisions, new commercial buildings, people moving north out of OKC. We install Trane and RunTru systems in new construction here regularly. If you’re a builder or buying a new home in Logan County, ask us about getting on the schedule early — we book out fast in spring.

🏛️ Historic Homes in Guthrie

Guthrie’s Victorian-era homes are beautiful, but HVAC work requires patience. Crawl space ductwork, thick plaster walls, non-standard closet dimensions — every job is different. I’ve been doing this for 45 years and I enjoy the puzzle. We get it done right without damaging the character of the home.

⚡ OEC Utility Rebates

Much of Logan County is served by Oklahoma Electric Cooperative (OEC). OEC offers rebates for both geothermal and high-efficiency air-source equipment — $400–$700 per ton for geothermal, $200–$325 per ton for qualifying air-source systems. These rebates stack with any financing you use and can meaningfully offset your upgrade cost. Visit okcoop.org/rebates or call us and we’ll walk you through the paperwork.

🚜 Getting to Logan County

We run Logan County calls regularly — Guthrie is about 45 minutes from Kingfisher, Crescent is closer. We schedule a dedicated run day for Logan County when call volume justifies it, and we handle emergencies the same day when parts are on hand. Our $99 dispatch fee is waived for all Maintenance Plan members.

More Logan County HVAC Questions

Does OEC offer rebates for HVAC upgrades in Logan County?

Yes — Oklahoma Electric Cooperative (OEC) offers rebates for qualifying high-efficiency systems. For geothermal, that’s $400–$700 per ton depending on the system. For air-source heat pumps and high-efficiency AC systems, it’s $200–$325 per ton. These are utility rebates paid directly after installation — they don’t expire the same way tax credits do. Check current amounts at okcoop.org/rebates or ask us when you call.

Can you handle HVAC installs in Guthrie’s historic homes?

Absolutely — it’s some of the more interesting work we do. Older Guthrie homes often have original floor registers, cast-iron radiators that were converted, or crawl-space duct systems that need reconfiguring. We do a full assessment before recommending equipment so we’re not just swapping in something that doesn’t fit. Mini-splits are also a great solution for additions or rooms that can’t be practically ducted.

Do you install HVAC in new construction in Logan County?

Yes, and this is a growing part of our business in Logan County. We work directly with builders and homeowners on new construction — from Manual J load calculations and equipment sizing to rough-in ductwork, equipment installation, and startup commissioning. Guthrie and the Cashion area are seeing a lot of new builds right now. We install Trane and RunTru systems for new construction and are happy to meet on-site during framing to plan the mechanical layout.

About Logan County, Oklahoma

Logan County sits between Oklahoma City and the rolling hills of the Cimarron country, anchored by Guthrie — Oklahoma’s first territorial capital and one of the best-preserved Victorian downtowns in the southern plains. Guthrie’s historic district means a lot of homes with original 1890s–1920s construction: steam boiler conversions, undersized ductwork, walls too thin for modern insulation. Logan County has grown steadily as OKC commuters push north on I-35, bringing newer subdivisions alongside that historic stock. OEC (Oklahoma Electric Cooperative) serves much of rural Logan County with $400–$700/ton geothermal rebates. The older homes in Guthrie’s established neighborhoods often need more careful equipment selection and airflow design than a standard swap-out — that’s where 45 years of field experience matters.
