Kingfisher: the duct was pulling air out of the attic
The duct in this house was pulling air out of the attic instead of out of the home, and in an Oklahoma August the attic is the hottest air on the whole property. Juan and a second tech went through it. They sealed every connection, joint and collar they could get to with mastic and UL-181 tape, put real support under the runs, and brought the system up to code.

Okarche · crawlspace flex duct replacement
Okarche: flex duct in the dirt, replaced with hard pipe
This is what the duct under this house in Okarche looked like: flex duct sagging between the joists, laying in the dirt, torn open in places. Every one of those sags is a spot where the air slows down and gives up its heat before it ever reaches the room. Every tear is air you already paid for going straight into the ground.
So my crew pulled all of it out. Carl and the guys fabricated hard pipe sheet metal, ran it through the house, wrapped the whole thing in duct insulation, and set ten new floor supply grilles. Hard pipe does not sag in ten years.

Oklahoma City: new duct up in the steel of a commercial building
This one is a commercial building in Oklahoma City, back in June. The package unit was already sitting on the roof. What the building needed was the duct underneath it, so my crew put in the supply and return, up in the steel where nobody ever looks.
They set a proper roof jack, cap and collar where the vent goes through the roof, so it stays sealed against the weather, and ran a six inch bathroom exhaust out through the roof. I pulled the city permits and it was done to code.
