What rebates can I get for geothermal in Kingfisher Oklahoma?

If you are on Kingfisher city utility (KPWA), OMPA WISE pays up to $800 per cooling ton for new geothermal that meets EER2 16.36 with a desuperheater. Each town sets its own level and OMPA matches it, so I confirm Kingfisher’s current amount before I quote it. If you are on Cimarron Electric (rural Kingfisher), it is a flat $600. Cimarron has a $1,200 annual cap. CKenergy does NOT serve Kingfisher County.

Does Hartzell’s handle the rebate paperwork?

Yes. I fill out the rebate forms, attach the invoice with model and serial numbers, and submit to the utility for you. For OMPA WISE I also schedule the required pre-install energy audit, which has to happen BEFORE I pull the old equipment or the rebate is disqualified. The rebate check goes to you, the homeowner, not me. I do not mark up the rebate.

Which utility serves Kingfisher County?

Inside the city of Kingfisher, electric is KPWA (a member of OMPA WISE). Outside city limits in Kingfisher County, most homes are on Cimarron Electric Cooperative. Gas in the area is typically OG&E or propane. CKenergy serves Blaine, Caddo, Canadian, Comanche, Custer, Dewey, Grady, Kiowa, Roger Mills, and Washita counties, NOT Kingfisher County. Most Oklahoma utilities mail the rebate check within 4 to 8 weeks of submission. OMPA WISE is closer to 6 to 10 weeks because city staff or OMPA does a post-install inspection. I have to submit the paperwork within 90 days of installation for most programs, so I file fast.
