Your coil has to match your outdoor unit and its refrigerant. I confirm the AHRI match at the estimate visit, and if your outdoor unit runs on an older refrigerant I quote the coil that matches it.

Federal EPA Section 608 rules require an EPA certified technician to handle the refrigerant in this equipment. To buy equipment only, I need a copy of your EPA 608 certification, or the certification of the technician installing it.

- An independent certificate that this exact outdoor unit, coil and furnace or air handler were tested together and earn the rating shown.
A leaking coil is one of the most common reasons an AC stops cooling, and a new coil fixes it for good instead of topping off refrigerant every summer.

Install day
- Before install day: an estimate visit to confirm the coil matches your outdoor unit, then your written quote.
- Refrigerant recovered and the old coil taken out.
- New coil set and brazed in with nitrogen flowing.
- Pressure test, vacuum, charge and startup readings with gauges on, written down.
- Cleanup, and the old coil hauled off.
