What causes most summer AC breakdowns in Kingfisher?
Failed capacitors, by far. Heat wears them out and most fail in the hottest stretch of July and August. Dirty coils, low refrigerant and failed contactors round out the top five. A spring tune-up at $229, or the One Visit Spring or Fall 360 plan at $199 a year, catches most of these early.

Should I repair or replace my HVAC system?
Repair if the system is under 10 years old and the repair is less than half the cost of replacing it. Replace if it is over 15 years old, needs a major component, or runs on R-22. If the system is newer and the repair is reasonable, repair makes sense. If it is aging, has had several repairs, or the repair cost is getting close to replacement, a new system often makes more financial sense. I will tell you which one you are looking at, not sell you one.
