RunTru is Trane’s value line, built for people who want a dependable new system without paying for features they won’t use. It’s a straight single-stage system: when it runs, it runs full. That fits a rental, a house you plan to sell in a few years, or a budget that has to stretch. An 80% furnace is the straightforward choice where the furnace vents through the existing flue.

Without my professional installation there is no warranty from me, and a manufacturer can deny its warranty when the equipment is not installed by a licensed HVAC contractor.
Federal EPA Section 608 rules require an EPA certified technician to handle the refrigerant in this equipment. To buy equipment only, I need a copy of your EPA 608 certification, or the certification of the technician installing it.
Your size and final price are confirmed in writing after the load calculation, before anything is ordered.
Equipment only is available if you’d rather. Refrigerant-charged equipment has to be installed by an EPA Section 608 certified technician, RunTru’s warranty has to be registered within 60 days and covers parts, not labor, and equipment is ordered for your job, so ask me about returns before you buy.

What these terms mean
- SEER2
- Cooling efficiency over a whole season. Higher means less power for the same cooling. The number shown is the AHRI-certified rating.
- EER2
- Cooling efficiency on a hot 95 degree afternoon, the kind of day Oklahoma has all July.
- AFUE
- How much of the gas a furnace turns into heat. An 80% furnace vents up a metal flue. A 90%+ furnace vents through PVC pipe and needs a drain, so I check your house first.
- Single-stage
- Runs full speed or off. Simple and reliable.
- Two-stage
- Runs on low most of the time and high on the hottest days, for steadier temperatures.
- Variable speed (inverter)
- Ramps up and down to match the house: the steadiest temperatures and the best humidity control.
- AHRI certificate
- An independent certificate that this exact outdoor unit, coil and furnace or air handler were tested together and earn the rating shown.

Install day
- Before install day: an estimate visit, Manual J load calculation and duct check, then your written quote.
- I protect floors and walkways, shut off power and gas, and take out the old equipment.
- New outdoor unit, coil and furnace set and connected.
- Line set flushed and reused if it’s the right size, brazed with nitrogen flowing. A new line set, major duct or electrical work is quoted separately.
- Vacuum, charge and startup readings with gauges on, written down.
- Cleanup, a walkthrough of the thermostat and filter, and the old equipment hauled off.
