A packaged heat pump + electric backup heat in one cabinet that sits outside on a pad and connects to your existing ductwork. The power entry kit, plenum or transition and pad are confirmed at the estimate visit.

Without my professional installation there is no warranty from me, and a manufacturer can deny its warranty when the equipment is not installed by a licensed HVAC contractor.
Federal EPA Section 608 rules require an EPA certified technician to handle the refrigerant in this equipment. To buy equipment only, I need a copy of your EPA 608 certification, or the certification of the technician installing it.
Your size and final price are confirmed in writing after the load calculation, before anything is ordered.
Equipment only is available if you’d rather. Refrigerant-charged equipment has to be installed by an EPA Section 608 certified technician, the warranty has to be registered on time and covers parts, not labor, and equipment is ordered for your job, so ask me about returns before you buy.

What these terms mean
- SEER2
- Cooling efficiency over a whole season. Higher means less power for the same cooling. The number shown is the AHRI-certified rating.
- EER2
- Cooling efficiency on a hot 95 degree afternoon, the kind of day Oklahoma has all July.
- HSPF2
- Heat pump heating efficiency over a winter. Higher is better.
- Single-stage
- Runs full speed or off. Simple and reliable.
- Two-stage
- Runs on low most of the time and high on the hottest days, for steadier temperatures.
- Dual fuel
- A heat pump does most of the heating, and the gas furnace takes over when it gets really cold.
- AHRI certificate
- An independent certificate that this exact outdoor unit, coil and furnace or air handler were tested together and earn the rating shown.
- R-454B and R-32
- The refrigerants in today’s new equipment. Manufacturers stopped building new R-410A systems at the start of 2025.
When the house is set up for a package unit, swapping like for like is the simplest, cleanest job there is.

Install day
- Before install day: an estimate visit, Manual J load calculation, and a check of the pad, duct connection, power and gas. Then your written quote.
- I protect walkways, shut off power and gas, and take out the old package unit.
- New unit set and leveled on the pad and connected to your existing ductwork, with a new transition where it needs one.
- Power, gas where it has gas heat, and condensate connected.
- Startup readings written down: pressures, temperatures and airflow.
- Cleanup, a walkthrough of the thermostat and filter, and the old unit hauled off.
