Pay cash or check and it’s about 10% off. Pick it under “How do you plan to pay?”

Variable speed matches what the house needs almost exactly, so temperatures stay even from room to room. Dual fuel: the heat pump heats the house most of the winter, and the 90%+ gas furnace takes over on the coldest days.

Not sure of your size? The old nameplate is a starting point, not the answer. I run a load calculation at the estimate visit.

Add to your system

Most installs need nothing extra. About 1 in 10 homes needs new ductwork, and I’ll tell you at the estimate visit.

Most homes need I check these at the estimate visit and reuse what’s good.
Nice to have Optional upgrades.
Warranty plans JB extended labor coverage, optional.
How do you plan to pay? (optional; cash or check takes about 10% off)

Cash is king: pick Cash or check and every price is about 10% off. Cards and financing pay the posted price. Hearth, Wisetack, Klarna and JB Financing check offers with a soft credit pull, so looking won’t touch your score. Hearth works with credit scores as low as 550: check your options. Subject to credit approval.

Your total

Your size and final price are confirmed in writing after the load calculation, before anything is ordered.

Equipment only is available if you’d rather. Refrigerant-charged equipment has to be installed by an EPA Section 608 certified technician, Trane’s warranty has to be registered within 60 days and covers parts, not labor, and equipment is ordered for your job, so ask me about returns before you buy.

Sizes with an AHRI certificate show it with their certified rating. The line name is the maker’s.

What these terms mean
SEER2
Cooling efficiency over a whole season. Higher means less power for the same cooling. The number shown is the AHRI-certified rating.
EER2
Cooling efficiency on a hot 95 degree afternoon, the kind of day Oklahoma has all July.
HSPF2
Heat pump heating efficiency over a winter. Higher is better.
AFUE
How much of the gas a furnace turns into heat. An 80% furnace vents up a metal flue. A 90%+ furnace vents through PVC pipe and needs a drain, so I check your house first.
Two-stage
Runs on low most of the time and high on the hottest days, for steadier temperatures.
Variable speed (inverter)
Ramps up and down to match the house: the steadiest temperatures and the best humidity control.
Dual fuel
A heat pump does most of the heating, and the gas furnace takes over when it gets really cold.
AHRI certificate
An independent certificate that this exact outdoor unit, coil and furnace or air handler were tested together and earn the rating shown.
Why I’d install this

Variable speed matches what the house needs almost exactly. It’s the system I’d put in my own home.

Who it’s forForever homes, allergy and humidity concerns, and people who want the most even comfort Trane makes in this line.
Who it’s not forAnyone planning to sell in the next few years.

Dave Hartzell, Master HVAC

Install day

  1. Before install day: an estimate visit, Manual J load calculation and duct check, then your written quote.
  2. I protect floors and walkways, shut off power and gas, and take out the old equipment.
  3. New outdoor unit, coil and furnace set and connected.
  4. Line set flushed and reused if it’s the right size, brazed with nitrogen flowing. A new line set, major duct or electrical work is quoted separately.
  5. Vacuum, charge and startup readings with gauges on, written down.
  6. Cleanup, a walkthrough of the thermostat and filter, and the old equipment hauled off.

Most residential replacements take 4 to 8 hours. See my full install standard.

  • You register it for the longer parts coverage, and my post-install email sends you the link.

Paying for it

Questions about this system

How much does a Trane XV18 TruComfort dual fuel, 90%+ furnace system cost in Kingfisher Oklahoma?

Pick your size above: each size shows its equipment price, my $4,300 professional installation and the total. The smallest size starts at $20,100 for the equipment. Your size comes from a load calculation at the estimate visit, and you see the final price in writing before anything is ordered.

How do I know what size I need?

A system that’s too big short-cycles and leaves the house clammy, and one that’s too small runs all day in July. I run a Manual J load calculation on your house at the estimate visit so the size comes from the math, not the old unit’s nameplate.

What warranty comes with it?

Trane 12-year compressor and 10-year outdoor coil and parts warranty when registered within 60 days (5 years if not registered). Parts only, not labor. Coil and gas furnace: 10-year parts and a 20-year furnace heat exchanger when registered within 60 days. You register it for the longer parts coverage, and my post-install email sends you the link. My 2-year labor warranty covers the installation. Manufacturer warranties cover parts, not labor.

Can I buy the equipment only?

Equipment only is available if you’d rather. Refrigerant-charged equipment has to be installed by an EPA Section 608 certified technician, Trane’s warranty has to be registered within 60 days and covers parts, not labor, and equipment is ordered for your job, so ask me about returns before you buy.

Can I finance it?

Ways to pay: cash or check (about 10% off every price), credit cards, and financing through Hearth, Wisetack, JB Financing, Klarna, Synchrony and Wells Fargo. Cash is king, and I take cards too. Hearth, Wisetack, Klarna and JB Financing check offers with a soft credit pull, so looking won’t touch your score. Hearth works with credit scores as low as 550. Subject to credit approval.

Ready to see what fits your house?

I size it with a load calculation. New system? Free estimate. I measure the house and give you a written price, no pressure.
