The PVA air handler with Mitsubishi’s Hyper-Heat (H2i) PUZ outdoor unit, built to keep heating on the coldest nights. One outdoor unit heats and cools, with electric strip heat behind it for the coldest nights.

Without my professional installation there is no warranty from me, and a manufacturer can deny its warranty when the equipment is not installed by a licensed HVAC contractor.
Federal EPA Section 608 rules require an EPA certified technician to handle the refrigerant in this equipment. To buy equipment only, I need a copy of your EPA 608 certification, or the certification of the technician installing it.
Your size and final price are confirmed in writing after the load calculation, before anything is ordered.
Equipment only is available if you’d rather. Refrigerant-charged equipment has to be installed by an EPA Section 608 certified technician, the manufacturer’s warranty has to be registered on time and covers parts, not labor, and equipment is ordered for your job, so ask me about returns before you buy.

What these terms mean
- SEER2
- Cooling efficiency over a whole season. Higher means less power for the same cooling. The number shown is the AHRI-certified rating.
- EER2
- Cooling efficiency on a hot 95 degree afternoon, the kind of day Oklahoma has all July.
- HSPF2
- Heat pump heating efficiency over a winter. Higher is better.
- Two-stage
- Runs on low most of the time and high on the hottest days, for steadier temperatures.
- Variable speed (inverter)
- Ramps up and down to match the house: the steadiest temperatures and the best humidity control.
- AHRI certificate
- An independent certificate that this exact outdoor unit, coil and furnace or air handler were tested together and earn the rating shown.
- R-454B and R-32
- The refrigerants in today’s new equipment. Manufacturers stopped building new R-410A systems at the start of 2025.

Install day
- Before install day: an estimate visit, Manual J load calculation and duct check, then your written quote.
- I protect floors and walkways, shut off power, and take out the old equipment.
- New outdoor unit, coil and air handler set and connected.
- Line set flushed and reused if it’s the right size, brazed with nitrogen flowing. A new line set, major duct or electrical work is quoted separately.
- Vacuum, charge and startup readings with gauges on, written down.
- Cleanup, a walkthrough of the thermostat and filter, and the old equipment hauled off.
